At The Nurture Nook, we provide early intervention support to children with a range of learning differences, special education needs, and disabilities.
We consider ourselves the Stepping Stone into a Nursery.
Our team will be in touch to discuss how we can support your family.
About The Nurture Nook
The Nurture Nook is a privately run establishment where children with special educational needs and disabilities can receive holistic and targeted support across all areas of their development. We specialise in helping children between 2 and 5 years old in key areas that will support them in mainstream education, including speech, language, and communication through our 12-week program.
We consider ourselves a Stepping Stone into nursery; for us, this means we provide a strategy for children with learning differences and special educational needs or disabilities to transition to a nursery or childcare setting.
We’d love to send you a FREE Information Pack, full of Top Tips for preparing your little one to attend nursery and the support a SENDCO can provide.
What We Believe
At the Nurture Nook we have created a unique intervention program that is entwined with our bespoke curriculum, which places children at the centre of their own journey. We take into account their learning differences and educational needs to help them grow and develop through a holistic approach to learning.
Every child is unique and learns in different ways, which is why we take into account their interests and curiosity in our teaching, helping them to connect the world around them.
Our 12 week pilot scheme begins in January 2025 and has been designed to help us create the resources and support needed by families in Great Baddow.

Our intervention program has been designed to support children with special educational needs and disabilities to learn basic skills that will support both children and their families to start nursery or preschool.
At The Nurture Nook, we offer a 12-week program that focuses on everything your little one needs to transition to a nursery environment, including sitting for periods of time, eating at a table, and communicating via speech, Makaton, or pictures. With two sessions per week and small groups of just 6 children, we provide a unique learning environment that puts the children first.

More comments from parents
My son is very interested in how everything works, needing his brain to be occupied all day and Munchkins are fully up to the task of supporting him. Layla (the SENDCO) brought us in and talked to us about what they see inside nursery and what we see as parents and then started creating tasks geared specifically for him and using these to support him.
This early intervention has taken my son from a frustrated child who didn’t want to engage with his peers to one that can focus and concentrate for longer and has formed friendships with his peers. Rather than putting children presenting unwanted behavior in the too hard box, Munchkins have taken the time to learn why they happen and over the last 6 months in particular my son is a completely different child. As parents we cannot thank Layla enough for her dedication to helping our child.
Layla has been a huge help in helping our son develop, every week he is coming back with new experiences like bucket time and helping him transition inro full time school. We could highly recommend Layla and the program especially seeing how positive the changes are but also how obvious the changes are in our now happy confident little boy.
